If you think of a glass hob you imagine it perfectly smooth, right?
Well, in ILVA Glass we are able instead to perform a very particular process on our surface cooktop, the “localized engraving”, which consists of an high-precision grinding process, capable of giving particular effects on the surface of the glass, lowering it precisely in some specific areas.
The lowering achieved will make your hob unique by emphasizing both its aesthetic and functional characteristics.
This particular process can in fact be used to highlight the power button (which by Law must clearly distinguish itself from the other functional commands), create a control panel that is even more recognizable than would be possible with the use of graphic printing only, or highlight the cooking area.
On an aesthetic level, it is also possible to create multi-color prints inside the lowering and it will therefore be easier in this way to coordinate – for example – the controls of the hob with those of other appliances, such as hood or oven, and thus create a single, coherent and coordinated control interface on the various appliances.
The localized engraving does not influence the characteristics of the glass-ceramic panel both in terms of mechanical strength and thermal resistance, or ease of cleaning.
